Adani Group is an Indian business conglomerate in infrastructure and energy spaces. It was founded by Gautam Adani in 1988 and is headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It has annual revenue of US$ 15 billion and has operations in 70 locations in 50 countries. In 2021, it became the third India to cross $100 billion in market capitalization.

 It is India’s largest port developer and operator with more than 10 ports. It also owns the largest edible oil brand called  Fortune Oil through a joint venture with a Singapore company.  It has mines in various countries like Australia, Indonesia, and supplies coal to China, Bangladesh, and some South Asian countries. It is also the largest private power producer.

 It employs around 23,000 people.The various companies under the Adani Group are: Adani Enterprises Ltd., Adani Ports, and SEZ Ltd., Adani Green Energy Limited, Adani Total Gas Limited, Adani Transmission Limited,

Adani Power Limited ,Adani Wilmar and more .

Adani Enterprises Ltd.

It is involved in the mining and trading of coal and iron ore and acts as an incubator platform for the development of new business ventures. It has 3 subsidiaries-  Adani Wilmar for food processing, Adani Airport Holdings, and Adani Road Transport for road development. Other business interests include water infrastructure, defense, aerospace, petrochemicals, oil exploration, financial services,agri-output storage, data centers, solar PV module manufacturing, rail and metro infrastructure, cement, and more.

Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd.

It is the largest private-sector port company and covers port management logistics and special economic zones. The company currently operates ports of Hazira, Mundra, and Dahej in Gujarat, Dhamra in Orissa, Kattupalli in Tamil Nadu, and more.

Adani Green Energy Limited

It is a renewable energy company that has wind and solar power projects and is the world’s largest solar power developed by a capacity of about 12 GW.

Adani Total Gas Limited

Being a joint venture between the group and French company Total Energies, this subsidiary is a city gas distribution company serving industrial and residential customers. It uses piped natural gas connections and compressed natural gas stations and is present in 74 districts.

Adani Transmission Limited

This includes commissioning, operations, and maintenance of electric power transmission systems. It is India’s largest private sector power transmission and distribution network maintaining about 17,000 circuit km of transmission lines.

Adani Power Limited

It develops and maintains power projects across India and has a combined installed capacity of about 12,000 MW with four thermal power projects in India.

Adani Wilmar

This is a joint venture between Adani enterprises and Wilmar International and is the owner of Fortune brand edible oils. It has a large range of oils – soybean, sunflower, mustard, and rice bran. The brand has a 20% market share in India.

Adani Capital

For financial services, Adani Capital is the Non-Banking Financial Company arm of the group which caters to rural retail and wholesale lending.

Adani Realty

It is the real estate group that is developing residential, commercial, and social club projects in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Cochin, and Gurgaon

Adani Housing Finance Private Limited

It was incorporated in 2017 and provides customized financing solutions to customers in the affordable housing segment. It offers  Home Loans (for purchase, home improvement, composite loans, top-up loans), loans against Property (for commercial purchase, loan against residential and commercial property), and Construction Finance.
