If your objective is to generate long-term wealth but you lack the expertise to research stocks yourself, portfolio management service (PMS) providers can assist you in investing in the stock market.

However, PMS firms work with investors who have a portfolio worth at least Rs. 50,00,000.

WealthDesk and Smallcase tackle the problem by making PMS-level advising services available to retail investors with portfolios of 10 to 20 lacs, such as you and me.

Rather than investing in individual company stocks, the investment portfolio focuses on long-term trends.

Portfolio investing solution suppliers WealthDesk and Smallcase –

  1. Provides a stock selection chosen by experts.
  2. Stock order placement with a single click in conjunction with your stockbroker
  3. Expert portfolio tracking and rebalancing through the internet
  4. Using the built-in tools, perform a portfolio analysis.
  5. In your trading account, you own the stocks and receive all dividends straight in your bank account.
  6.

Both WealthDesk and Smallcase are founded in India and have credible founders.

WealthDesk was established in 2016 by Ujjwal Jain, CFA.

Smallcase was founded in 2015 by IIT Kharagpur grads Vasanth Kamath, Anugrah Shrivastava, and Rohan Gupta.

They feature overlapping product offerings and appear to be comparable on the inside. Both platforms provide investors with a one-click solution for building a reputable stock portfolio. Portfolio investment baskets created by SEBI licenced investment advisors and research analysts are available on both sites.

StockBroker

Shares in a certain basket must be purchased on the NSE and BSE using a Demat and trading account.

The service can only be provided in conjunction with the assistance of stockbrokers. You can’t buy a basket if your broker isn’t affiliated with any of the companies.

WealthDesk and Smallcase have partnerships with various stockbrokers. A list of brokers who have integrated with both brands can be found here –
